IMD issues rain, lightning alert for several Odisha districts as monsoon remains active
Bhubaneswar, July 9 -- The southwest monsoon continues to remain active over Odisha, with several parts of the state witnessing overcast skies and light rainfall. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning at various places across the state till July 12.
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, weather conditions are expected to remain conducive for thunderstorm activity over the next few days. The IMD has particularly warned of thunderstorms with lightning in Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts for the next three days.
