Bhubaneswar, Aug. 10 -- Three major government medical colleges in Odisha secured remarkable positions in the national IIRF rankings. The SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack secured a higher rank than AIIMS Bhubaneswar.

As per reports, SCB MCH ranked 15th, while AIIMS Bhubaneswar secured the 16th position. VIMSAR in Burla ranked 64th, and MKCG Medical College in Berhampur secured the 74th position.

The rankings highlight the performance of Odisha's government medical institutions in areas including medical education, research, infrastructure and healthcare.

Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling congratulated the doctors, faculty members, students and staff of the medical colleges for their performance in the rankings.
