Bhubaneswar, Oct. 14 -- In a disturbing incident at Maa Brahmani temple in Korchabadi village under Mohana police limits in Gajapati district, a 'human bone' was allegedly found near the lion statue outside the temple on Tuesday.

Early in the morning, the temple priest, while preparing to conduct the daily puja, noticed the bone and alerted the villagers. The shocking discovery has forced the suspension of all religious rituals in the temple for the day.

Villagers have expressed deep concern and suspicion over who might have placed the skeletal remains at the sacred site. The temple managing committee and local residents jointly demanded a thorough investigation and swift action against those responsible.
