Bhubaneswar, March 2 -- Holi, one of the most vibrant festivals in Hindu tradition, celebrates the victory of good over evil and the arrival of spring. In 2026, however, confusion has arisen as Holika Dahan coincides with Bhadra Kaal and a total lunar eclipse, prompting devotees to seek clarity on the correct date and auspicious timings.
According to Drik Panchang, Holika Dahan will be observed on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. The Purnima Tithi begins at 5:55 PM on March 2 and ends at 5:07 PM on March 3. The recommended Holika Dahan muhurat is from 6:22 PM to 8:50 PM. Bhadra Punchha will prevail from 1:25 AM to 2:35 AM, followed by Bhadra Mukha from 2:35 AM to 4:30 AM.
