Bhubaneswar, Aug. 5 -- Monsoon rains often leave rural roads in Odisha muddy and inaccessible, making it difficult for vehicles, including ambulances, to reach patients in need. However, a remarkable act of dedication by an ambulance team in Kandhamal district has won praise after they went the extra mile to ensure an ailing woman received timely medical care.

The incident occurred in Nedipaju village under Tikabali block, where an ambulance was dispatched to shift an unwell woman to the hospital. However, the vehicle could not proceed beyond a point as the rain-soaked road had become too muddy and slippery for safe movement.
