Bhubaneswar, Oct. 20 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar issued an alert on Monday predicting heavy rainfall across Odisha from October 24 to 26.
According to the IMD forecasts, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal within the next 12 hours, which could intensify further into a well-marked system over the following 24 hours.
Due to changing conditions over the sea, several parts of the State may start experiencing rainfall as early as tomorrow. Light to moderate showers are expected in isolated locations, with southern and coastal districts more likely to be affected.
