Bhubaneswar, Sept. 24 -- Heavy rainfall due to the deep depression has led to severe waterlogging in Kasinagar near First Gate in Berhampur in Ganjam district of Odisha, with rainwater entering several houses and forcing residents to come out onto the road in protest.

The situation developed after the heavy downpour left the nearby drainage system unable to clear the accumulated water. As the water level rose, it entered houses in the locality, causing difficulties for residents.

Locals said the water could not be drained despite efforts by the municipal authorities. With the problem continuing, residents eventually moved onto the road to protest against the waterlogging and the failure to clear the accumulated water.
