Bhubaneswar, Aug. 6 -- Odisha is set to witness widespread rainfall over the next four days under the influence of a cyclonic circulation, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting thunderstorms, lightning and heavy showers across several parts of the state.

According to the IMD, the weather system is likely to trigger moderate to heavy rainfall from Thursday onwards, with isolated places expected to receive intense showers accompanied by thunder and lightning.

In view of the forecast, the IMD has issued an Orange Warning for Cuttack and Mayurbhanj, valid till 8.30 am on Friday. The two districts are likely to experience heavy rainfall along with thunderstorms and lightning at one or two places.
