Bhubaneswar, Aug. 18 -- Heavy rain has disrupted normal life in Odisha's Keonjhar district, with more than 60 houses damaged in Kendipashi panchayat under Patna tehsil. Several families have been affected as rain continued across the area, with some forced to leave their homes and take shelter in safer places.

The worst-hit area is Silida village under the Kendeipashi RI circle, where around 30 houses have been damaged due to the prolonged rain. Houses have also been damaged in Khuntapada, Kendeipashi, Anadhia, Kendapada and Kashipur villages.
