Bhubaneswar, Aug. 10 -- Heavy rain lashed Odisha's Rourkela city since Monday morning, disrupting normal life across several parts of the city. The downpour led to waterlogging in low-lying areas. Several roads remained inundated, making movement difficult for commuters.

The rain also allegedly damaged a construction shed at Rourkela railway station. The structure collapsed amid the persistent downpour. No information about any casualty or injury has been reported so far.

Several low-lying parts of Rourkela witnessed water entering residential and other areas following the heavy rainfall. Water also accumulated on roads at multiple locations, affecting vehicular movement.
