Bhubaneswar, March 6 -- The rise in daytime temperatures with the onset of March has intensified heat conditions across Odisha, with Jharsuguda recording the highest temperature of 39.6 degrees Celsius in the past 24 hours.

According to the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, while the prevailing heat is likely to persist, no significant change in temperature is expected across the state over the next five days.

The increase in daytime temperature has led to warmer conditions in several parts of the state since the beginning of March. Jharsuguda recorded the highest temperature of 39.6 degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours, indicating the gradual rise in heat levels.
