Bhubaneswar, April 23 -- Odisha continues to reel under an intense heatwave, with temperatures breaking records across regions from the coast to the western districts. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted that the prevailing conditions are likely to continue for the next five days.

For Thursday, heatwave warnings were issued for Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Bolangir districts. In addition, a yellow warning for severe heat and humid conditions was issued for 17 districts, including Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Khordha, Cuttack, Puri, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Angul, Boudh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur and Sundargarh.
