Bhubaneswar, Nov. 9 -- A dedicated Gupchup (pani puri) market will soon open in Odisha's Bhubaneswar, offering residents a convenient and hygienic space to enjoy the popular street snack. The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) launched the initiative as a pilot project to streamline roadside vending and reduce traffic congestion caused by unauthorised stalls.

As per reports, the BMC identified land in front of the Regional Institute of Education for the project. Mayor Sulochana Das inspected the site and reviewed the proposed layout. All Gupchup vendors operating between Saheed Nagar Square and Nicco Park will be identified and brought under the new vending zone. Each vendor will receive a specially designed trolley free of cost.
