Bhubaneswar, Feb. 14 -- Panic gripped Odisha's Koraput district after four wagons of a goods train derailed while transporting iron ore from Jagdalpur to Visakhapatnam. The incident occurred on Saturday between Dayanidhiguda and Malabar on a newly inaugurated railway track.
The derailment took place as the train was passing through the section. Railway officials rushed to the site and rescue operations are currently underway.
According to reports, the railway track had been opened only two days ago. The derailment happened during the train's movement along this newly laid route, raising concerns over operational safety.
