Bhubaneswar, Sept. 4 -- Commissionerate Police held a preparatory meeting at Saheed Bhawan in Odisha's Cuttack on Thursday ahead of Ganesh Puja.

The meeting focused on discussions related to arrangements for the festival and immersion processions. It was chaired by the Police Commissioner and attended by police officials, puja committee members, peace committee representatives and representatives of various political parties.

According to reports, immersion processions will be held on four Sundays. These are scheduled for September 20 and 27, followed by October 4 and 11.

During the meeting, police made it clear that forced collection of donations would not be tolerated and that a zero-tolerance policy would be followed in such cases. ...
