Bhubaneswar, June 2 -- The sweet aroma of mangoes is filling the air in Bhubaneswar as the Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS) has launched its Mango Festival 2026, connecting farm-fresh mangoes directly from growers to consumers. The initiative aims to provide better market access to farmers while ensuring residents get naturally ripened mangoes without middlemen's involvement.

The festival was inaugurated by Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Rabinarayan Naik at Nandankanan-Patia. Organised under the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department, the festival is designed to strengthen direct market linkages between mango growers and consumers, enabling farmers to secure better returns for their produce.
