Bhubaneswar, March 11 -- In two separate but strikingly similar incidents in India, young men displayed extraordinary courage when they fought back against attacking leopards and managed to kill the predators in desperate battles for survival.
In Himachal Pradesh's Solan district, an 18-year-old ITI student named Parvesh Sharma fought off a leopard that attacked him early in the morning while he was heading out to fetch milk.
The three-year-old leopard suddenly pounced on the teenager when he was just a short distance from his home. Instead of panicking, Parvesh reacted quickly and tried to protect his neck from the animal's jaws.
