Bhubaneswar, Aug. 13 -- Once known for poor roads, unclean surroundings and clogged drains, Chunabhati Gali in Odisha's Cuttack's Ward 38 has now undergone a major transformation. The lane has received new tiles, renovated drains and streetlights, while colourful murals and paintings have given the area a completely new look.

The makeover was carried out under the Mukhyamantri Sahari Bikash Yojana (MSBY) with the help of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation. Local youths and residents played a key role in planning the paintings and murals, turning the lane into an example of community participation in urban development.
