From lonely to happy: Orangutans get new companion at Nandankanan
Bhubaneswar, Sept. 9 -- Five orangutans rescued from a forest in Bhograi block of Balasore district have been brought to Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar.
The orangutans at Nandankanan Zoological Park have found new companion while staying in an isolation enclosure. They have been given a stuffed toys that resembles an orangutan, helping them stay engaged while they remain away from their mother.
The orangutans were reportedly unhappy as they did not receive their mother's care and affection. However, after being given the companion, a change in their behaviour has been noticed.
