Bhubaneswar, Sept. 12 -- Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar has welcomed 58 exotic animals belonging to 14 species. The animals were donated by Gujarat's Radhe Krishna Temple Elephant Welfare Trust.

According to reports, the new arrivals include four zebras, four kangaroos, four scarlet macaws and four blue wildebeests, among other animals. With their arrival, Nandankanan now houses a total of 188 animal species.

The arrival of the new animals is expected to further enrich Nandankanan's species diversity. It is also expected to strengthen the zoo's conservation and educational programmes.
