Bhubaneswar, June 1 -- The controversy surrounding ISKCON's observance of Rath Yatra outside the traditional schedule has resurfaced once again, with an untimely Rath Yatra reportedly being organised in Canada on May 30. The event has triggered fresh criticism from sections of the Jagannath community and devotees, reigniting a long-standing debate over the observance of the festival outside the traditional calendar followed by the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri.

According to reports, the Rath Yatra was organised at Hilltop Picnic Shelter in Canada, where devotees participated in a chariot procession along with cultural programmes, devotional music performances and food stalls as part of the celebrations.
