Fresh spell of rain to batter Odisha for next 4 days; IMD issues yellow warning
India, Aug. 3 -- Fresh rainfall resumed across Odisha under the influence of an active monsoon system. This latest development in the weather system prompted the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre to issue warnings for thunderstorms and lightning on Monday.
The spell is expected to persist for the next four days, with a yellow alert in place for 25 districts today.
The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has issued a heavy rainfall warning for six districts, including Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.
The resumption of rain follows a brief respite on Sunday morning, when water levels in major rivers had begun to recede, leaving residents to deal with flood damage.
