Bhubaneswar, June 12 -- Former Gunupur MLA Ramamurty Gamango passed away while undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. He was 76.

According to sources, Gamango had been suffering from multiple health complications, including high blood pressure and diabetes. As his condition deteriorated, he was first admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital for advanced treatment. He breathed his last at the hospital in the early hours of Friday.

Ramamurty Gamango was a former MLA from Gunupur and remained a known political figure in the Rayagada region. His death has drawn reactions from political leaders and well-wishers familiar with his public life.
