Former BJD MLA Pranab Balabantray's convoy attacked in Jajpur, seeks security
Bhubaneswar, Oct. 4 -- Former BJD MLA Pranab Balabantray has alleged that his convoy was attacked by a group of armed men in Panturi village under Gadhamadhupur panchayat in Dharmasala area of Jajpur district on Sunday.
According to Balabantray, the incident took place when he and his supporters were returning after attending a meeting as part of a public outreach padayatra in the area. He alleged that around 40 to 50 armed persons suddenly attacked them in the presence of police.
The former MLA claimed that the attackers were carrying swords, axes and other weapons. He further alleged that stones and bricks were hurled at three vehicles in his convoy, causing damage to them.
