Bhubaneswar, Sept. 5 -- An unusual weather scene unfolded in Bonai in Odisha's Sundargarh as the area witnessed dense fog on Saturday morning. Several parts of the area were enveloped in thick fog even as rainfall continued, creating a rare sight during the monsoon.

The unexpected weather condition left locals surprised as such fog is generally seen in Bonai around October and November. Visibility was significantly reduced in some locations. Even the trees located at a distance were not clearly visible.

Bonai has been receiving continuous rainfall for the last two to three days. Several people encountered the thick fog during their morning walks at around 6 am. The fog reportedly continued until approximately 7.30 am.
