In the wake of the tragic death of FM College student Soumyashree Bisi, the Cuttack City Congress organized a candlelight march from Dargha Bazar to Gaurishankar Park on Tuesday.
The march saw the participation of former MLA Mohammed Moquim, Cuttack-Barabati MLA Sophia Firdous, and several other senior Congress leaders.
Meanwhile, in protest of the student's death, the Student Congress hurled eggs at the residence of the Higher Education Minister. The situation escalated into a face-off between the students and the police during the demonstration.
