India, Nov. 5 -- Flooding triggered by Cyclone Arnab has left 17 families homeless in Odisha's Ganjam district. Taking stock of the devastation, Collector V. Keerthi Vasan assured them of land and housing assistance to rebuild their lives.

Severe flooding in Odisha's Ganjam district following Cyclone Arnab has left 17 families homeless, washing away their houses and belongings and destroying everything they had accumulated over the years.

With nowhere to go, the affected families have been taking shelter in a panchayat building for the past week, uncertain about where they will live and how they will start afresh.
