Bhubaneswar, June 14 -- Uncertainty continues over the operationalisation of the Jajpur Administrative Building, with the project remaining incomplete even after five years since construction began. As the estimated cost of the project has increased year after year, the building remains unfinished, prompting residents to demand its immediate completion and commissioning.

The foundation stone for the administrative complex at Kusuma was laid in 2021. However, despite multiple deadlines set by the executing agency, the project is yet to be completed. Initially, the agency had targeted completion in 2022, which was later extended to 2023 and finally to March 2026. Even after five years, the project remains incomplete.
