Five women Odia labourers die in Tamil Nadu seafood processing unit mishap, Odisha sends team
Bhubaneswar, June 22 -- Five women labourers from Odisha's Keonjhar have died in the ammonia gas leak at a private seafood processing and export unit in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvallur district were workers from Odisha, according to official sources.
The death toll in the incident rose to five on Monday, while 67 others remain hospitalised and under medical observation. Two persons have been discharged after receiving treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Jimani Jiwang (19), Geetha Jiwang, Bhumiya Jiwang (22), Sibani (22) and Phulomani Juanga from Keonjhar.
