Bhubaneswar, Sept. 8 -- The sighting of five unusual animals resembling orangutans in Bichitrapur forest under Bhograi block of Balasore district on Tuesday has sparked curiosity among locals and raised questions about how the animals reached the area.

The animals were spotted by local residents inside the forest, following which a large number of people gathered near the spot. Several locals reportedly captured photographs and videos of the animals as they moved through the trees and forested area.

Following the information, Forest Department officials reached the spot and rescued all five animals. They were subsequently taken to a veterinary hospital for examination of their health and physical condition.
