Bhubaneswar, Aug. 6 -- A fire broke out in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Cuttack on Thursday, triggering panic among patients, attendants and hospital staff. The blaze, however, was brought under control before it could spread, thanks to the swift response of the hospital's security personnel and the fire services.

Preliminary findings indicate that the fire may have originated due to the overheating of the return or outdoor cable of an air-conditioning unit. While the exact cause is yet to be officially confirmed, authorities have launched an investigation to ascertain the reason behind the incident.
