Bhubaneswar, June 3 -- Tension prevailed outside Bhadreshwar Police Station in Odisha's Cuttack district after family members of a deceased youth staged a protest by placing his body near the police station, demanding immediate action against those allegedly responsible for his death, sources said on Wednesday.

The deceased, identified as Deepak Sethi of Podamarai village, had reportedly travelled to Visakhapatnam along with a group of local youths in search of work. According to allegations made by his family, Deepak was brutally assaulted by some of the youths who had accompanied him and was later thrown from the roof of a building during the attack.
