Bhubaneswar, June 6 -- Thousands of women across Odisha are facing uncertainty after turning 60 and becoming ineligible for the Subhadra Yojana. While government guidelines state that women who cross the age limit should be considered for old-age pension benefits, many say they are yet to receive any pension despite repeated applications.

One such beneficiary is Ahalya Biswal from Kamalapadar village in Ganjam district's Khallikote block. She had received the first two instalments under the Subhadra scheme, amounting to Rs 10,000. However, after turning 60, her name was removed from the beneficiary list. Though she is now eligible for an old-age pension, she claims she has not received any support despite applying multiple times.
