Bhubaneswar, May 27 -- The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is preparing to roll out a major digital upgrade that could allow subscribers to withdraw provident fund (PF) money instantly through UPI-linked systems, eliminating lengthy processing delays and employer approvals.

Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya recently said the testing phase of the new facility has been completed and the EPF amount withdrawn by members will be transferred directly into their bank accounts through the UPI payment gateway.
