Tension prevailed high at Biripali village under Bangomunda police limits after a confrontation broke out between police personnel and villagers over elopement by two lovebirds.
According to sources, a youth from Ranapada in Biripali village and a girl from Bedapada had eloped. Following this, the girl's family members lodged a written complaint at the Bangomunda police station. Acting on information that the couple was hiding in a house located in the middle of farmland, a police team rushed to the spot and rescued both of them.
