Elephants chase Forest dept officials in Angul forest, staff climb tree to save life
Bhubaneswar, Sept. 1 -- A Forest department employee reportedly had a narrow escape after a tusker chased him during an attempt to chase away the elephants at Patakamunda village under the Chhendipada forest range in Angul of Odisha on Tuesday.
According to reports, a herd of elephants had entered the village, following which the Forest department's elephant squad reached the area to drive away the animals back towards the forest. The team was reportedly trying to move the elephants away from the village when a tusker suddenly chased one of the forest staff.
