Bhubaneswar, June 28 -- An elderly patient from Baripada in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district reportedly went missing from the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after allegedly wandering away from the Super Speciality Outpatient Department (OPD).

The missing patient has been identified as Chandrakanta Mohanty. Hospital authorities and family members have launched a search to trace his whereabouts.

According to the family, Chandrakanta was brought to the hospital by his wife, Smruti Snigdha Sahu, earlier this month for a consultation in the Nephrology Department. He reportedly went missing on June 23 while his wife briefly stepped away to get food.
