East Coast Railway activates monsoon safety plan as heavy rain batters Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 7 -- The East Coast Railway (ECoR) placed its field staff on high alert and strengthened monsoon safety measures to ensure uninterrupted train operations amid heavy rainfall forecast across parts of Odisha.
The Railway authorities instructed patrolmen to closely monitor tracks passing through low-lying and flood-prone areas. Special attention is also being given to bridges, areas vulnerable to soil erosion, and locations prone to boulders falling onto railway tracks, as reported by The Times Of India.
