Imagine being able to update your Aadhaar details without waiting in long queues or taking time off work. That vision could soon become reality for millions of Indians, as the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) prepares to roll out a new mobile application called e-Aadhaar.
Currently under development, the e-Aadhaar app aims to simplify the process of updating personal Aadhaar information such as name, address, date of birth, and mobile number, all from a smartphone. This marks a significant departure from the present system, which requires most Aadhaar updates to be done in person at enrollment centers.
