Bhubaneswar, Oct. 21 -- Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das visited several Durga Puja pandals across the city and its outskirts to review the arrangements made for puja management, sanitation and the safety of devotees.

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) introduced several measures to ensure that the celebrations remain clean, safe and environmentally friendly. These include restrictions on plastic use at puja pandals and daily inspections of food stalls by special teams.

The civic body restricted the use of plastic at puja pandals as part of its efforts to keep the celebrations environmentally friendly. Special teams were also seen inspecting food stalls near the pandals every day to monitor arrangements.
