Bhubaneswar, Aug. 5 -- In a major crackdown on illegal narcotics trade, the Sambalpur Town Police arrested two persons and seized 13 grams of brown sugar during a raid conducted near Sahu Colony in the town on Tuesday.

The accused have been identified as Ipshiba Bahadur, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar in Modipada, and Pal Oram, a resident of Ganesh Nagar at Sianbahal under the jurisdiction of Rengali Police Station.

Acting on reliable intelligence about the alleged movement of narcotics, a police team carried out the raid and apprehended the duo from the spot.
