Bhubaneswar, April 25 -- At least five members of a Bihar-based robbery gang were arrested on Saturday, for allegedly duping a woman from Odisha's Sundargarh district.

According to reports, the incident took place yesterday in the Lankahuda area, where five miscreants disguised as hermits visited the house of a woman identified as Sumitra Oram. The accused reportedly asked for some rice and performed a ritual, after which they warned her of impending danger to her husband and son.

To ward off the so-called threat, the fraudsters demanded gold and cash. The woman handed over her earrings and Rs 1,000, following which the accused fled the scene.
