Bhubaneswar, Sept. 28 -- A newly married woman died after allegedly being poisoned at her in-laws' house in Shasanbada village under the Industrial Area police station limits in Balasore district of Odisha. Her family has alleged that she was given poison by her in-laws.

The deceased has been identified as Ambika Swain of the Puruna Balasore area. According to the available information, Ambika fell critically ill at her in-laws' house after she was allegedly administered a poisonous substance.

She was initially taken to Balasore FM Medical College and Hospital for treatment as her condition deteriorated. After receiving treatment there, she was shifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar for further medical care.
