Bhubaneswar, Feb. 13 -- The road to Don 3 has been anything but steady. Spearheaded by filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, the third installment aimed to reinvent the iconic franchise with Ranveer Singh stepping into the shoes of the suave anti-hero.

However, Singh's exit from the project ignited a public fallout. Production house Excel Entertainment, led by Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani, reportedly cited a staggering Rs.40 crore loss following the actor's departure.
