Bhubaneswar, July 3 -- A family has been left waiting for more than 48 hours after the post-mortem of a minor boy, who died in an alleged illegal mining accident, could not be conducted due to the ongoing doctors' strike.

The body of the deceased is lying at TATA Main Hospital in Joda of Keonjhar district, Odisha while the incident took place under Koida police limits in Sundargarh district.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, when the minor was allegedly working at an illegal manganese mining site in the Malda Reserve Forest area. According to reports, he died after a landslide triggered the collapse of loose soil at the mining site, trapping him underneath.
