Bhubaneswar, Aug. 14 -- A major controversy erupted on Friday after visuals allegedly showing people wearing slippers while cooking inside the kitchen of the Digha Jagannath Temple in West Bengal surfaced on social media.

The video reportedly shows people wearing slippers while preparing prasad in the temple's kitchen. In the video, people can also be seen wearing footwear while doing cleaning work. The videos were reportedly recorded by a devotee on a mobile phone and later went viral on social media.
