Bhubaneswar, May 16 -- Special rituals are being conducted at PuriSrimandir on the occasion of Sabitri Amavasya on Saturday. Married women are offering prayers for the long life and well-being of their husbands.

The rituals at the Sabitri temple are being performed in a spiritual atmosphere since early morning. Married women are visiting the temple and performing puja with fruits, conch bangles and vermillion as part of the traditional observance associated with Sabitri Amavasya.

Meanwhile, the traditional Jala Krida ritual will be held on the occasion of Amavasya tithi as part of the Bhitara Chandan Yatra rituals inside Srimandir.
