Bhubaneswar, March 27 -- The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) is expected to clear several key proposals aimed at boosting India's military capabilities during its meeting scheduled for Friday. Among the major programmes under consideration are the procurement of 60 Medium Transport Aircraft and five additional units of the S-400 air defence systems.
Sources in the defence establishment indicate that the Indian Air Force may also receive approval to acquire around four squadrons of indigenous Remotely Piloted Strike Aircraft, also known as unmanned combat jets.
