Bhubaneswar, Oct. 19 -- A cyclonic circulation may develop over the South Andaman Sea around October 22, raising the possibility of a newweather system over the Bay of Bengal. A clearer assessment of its intensity, movement and potential impact on Odisha is expected around October 25 or 26.

Some weather models suggest the system could intensify into a depression, a deep depression or even a cyclone. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not issued an official forecast confirming cyclone formation.
