Bhubaneswar, Oct. 28 -- Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds induced by Cyclone 'Montha' led to the collapse of a decorative light gate installed for Kali Puja at College Square in Byasanagar under Jajpur district on Tuesday.

As per reports, the damaged structure blocked a portion of the Jajpur Road-Kalinganagar route, causing significant disruption to traffic movement in the area.

As per reports, the light gate collapsed around 1 pm today as the intensity of the rain gradually increased. The Kali Puja committee members informed the local administration about the development immediately.
